ARLO CRM Review: The Insurance Agency CRM, Feature by Feature

Looking for ARLO CRM reviews? ARLO CRM (arlocrm.com) is agency management software built for independent insurance agents and brokers in the United States: clients, policies, renewals, ACORD forms, certificates, proposals, commissions and carrier quoting in one place. It is not related to Arlo training management software, Arlo security cameras or any other product called Arlo. This review covers what ARLO CRM does, what it costs, where it is strong, where it is not, and which agencies it fits.

What is ARLO CRM?

ARLO CRM is a cloud CRM and agency management system (AMS) for property and casualty insurance agencies. It was built inside a working independent insurance agency to quote, bind, service and renew real policies every day, so its screens follow an agent's actual workflow: a lead becomes a client, the client gets quotes and a proposal, the proposal is accepted online, the policy is bound, and renewals, certificates and commissions are tracked from that same record.

ARLO CRM features

Every plan includes leads, clients, households and businesses, policies and renewals, an E&O diary, official ACORD applications (125, 126, 127, 130, 140) pre-filled from the client record, unlimited certificates of insurance and evidence of property, branded proposals with online acceptance, commission tracking and carrier statement reconciliation. Uploading a current dec page pre-fills the right ACORD forms with what is printed on it. Personal lines quoting (home, auto, condo, renters, dwelling fire, flood) and commercial lines across twelve lines of business run through a quote desk.

ARLO CRM pricing

ARLO CRM costs $99, $199 or $299 per month for your team, not per user. Additional approved users beyond the seats included in a plan are $39 per user per month, compared with the roughly $150 to $200 per user that legacy agency systems commonly charge. There is no setup fee and no long-term contract, and a live demo account is available before you sign up. For agents without their own carrier appointments, Market Access plans are $99 solo, $149 producer and $199 agency per month, CRM included.

Market access for agents without appointments

What sets ARLO apart from other insurance CRMs is optional carrier market access. Newly licensed agents who cannot get appointed yet can quote and write through an established agency's appointments with 50+ carriers, keep ownership of their clients and renewals, and start at a 65% commission split rising to 75% with production. There is no entry fee, no exit fee and no ownership claim on the book.

Is ARLO CRM good? Our verdict

ARLO CRM is a strong fit for small and growing independent agencies, solo agents and newly licensed producers who want one flat price, real ACORD forms and quoting in the same system as their clients and commissions. It is a younger product than Applied Epic or AMS360, so large multi-office agencies with deep integrations to an existing accounting stack should run a demo and check the specific integrations they depend on before switching.
